Major new public art gallery launching in Southwark SE1

ASC is a charity that exists to support artists. Our organisation is one of the largest providers of studio space to artists in the U.K. We are now launching a major new public gallery.

‘The ASC Gallery’ is part of our largest project to date, a nine story building previously Southbank University, housing over 150 artists.

We are launching the gallery with an exhibition entitled ‘Miasmas’. A show of work by some of the most exciting artists working in London today.

Participating artists: Tom Price, Danny Rolph, Helen Maurer, Sigrid Holmwood, Andy Harper, Christina Niederberger, Alex Baggaley, Richard Galpin, Maurizio Anzeri and Darren O’Brien.

‘Miasmas’ has many meanings from a noxious atmosphere or influence to an emanation once thought to originate from swamps. The artists selected for the exhibition should not be defined by the title though. The curators set out to imbibe a sense of Miasmas and reconnect with the words past and evolution of meanings.
