Workspace

ASC manages eight studio buildings across London in Brixton, Streatham, Kennington, Walworth, Bow, Kingston-Upon-Thames, Alperton and Croydon.

These spaces are offered to artists, designer makers, arts charities and not-for-profits only.

We require 2 months notice to vacate and 2 month’s deposit.

Viewing

In person viewings are now taking place, 1 person at a time and observing strict social distancing guidelines.

KILNS

Kilns in workspaces must first be approved by ASC and will depend on a number of factors, including the specifications of the kiln and whether the particular workspace is appropriate. This is assessed by our Properties Manager and Maintenance Manager on a case by case basis.

The space is a large studio on the second floor, with good light from a full wall of windows over looking Brixton high street. Warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.  There is a large central table that we all share as a work bench, (this can be changed to preference), the rent for half of the whole space is £322.83 pcm. Two artists who currently share the other half are not there all day every day (but usually a couple times a week at least, hence why they share the other half) so would be suitable for someone who just needed a bit more space. 

You would be sharing the space with two textile based artists/ makers/ designer's, so dust emitting or messy practises would not work well here. We are always up for a chat to see if it could work so please ask. We are a friendly pair who have shared a space for many years in different locations. It's important to us that anyone who will take this space will be respectful of one another's practice and keep the studio reasonably tidy so we can all achieve what we want from the space without difficulty.
