Creativity at ASC Streatham Hill: Open Studios & Building Relaunch

We’re pleased to invite you to a very special weekend at ASC Streatham Hill, celebrating the relaunch of our building and the vibrant creative community it nurtures.

Join us on 10th and 11th October for a weekend of art, creativity and community spirit, and explore the work of 27 talented artists with studios at ASC Streatham Hill.

This celebration marks an important milestone in securing a vital creative space for artists in Streatham. Thanks to a generous £200,000 grant from the Future Workspace Fund and the London Borough of Lambeth, ASC Studios has been able to safeguard affordable studios for 59 artists and makers, ensuring that the building continues to thrive as a hub for local creativity.

Open Studios: Creativity in Action

During ASC Streatham Hill Open Studios, visitors are invited to step inside the working studios of our resident artists and witness creativity. From painting and sculpture to design and craft, this is your chance to meet the artists, explore their studios and discover the stories behind their work.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a local resident or simply curious, Open Studios offers a unique opportunity to experience the creative process first-hand and connect with the artists who make Streatham Hill such a vibrant cultural hub.

This year, our relaunch coincides with the Streatham Festival, providing an even greater chance to celebrate art and community together (click here to learn more).

New Gallery & Exciting Launches

This weekend isn’t just about Open Studios—it’s also about a brand-new beginning! We are thrilled to celebrate the launch of Streatham Hill Projects, our exciting new gallery space.

Designed to be a vibrant hub for creativity, this space will host dynamic exhibitions and workshops, opening its doors wide to the community. Our goal is simple: to strengthen the connection between our talented artists and the wider public. Come stop by the new gallery this weekend to see featured work by the very same ASC Streatham Hill artists who are opening their studios!

The Launch of the Inaugural ASC Art Prize

To mark this special occasion, we are also launching the inaugural ASC Art Prize! This new initiative was created to highlight the exceptional talent flourishing across all 11 of our buildings.

The excitement starts now: One artist from Streatham Hill will be shortlisted for this prestigious prize and will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the ASC Gallery in Vauxhall in March 2026. Throughout next year, our additional Open Studios events across ASC buildings will select one artist from each location to feature in the final ASC Art Prize lineup. It’s an incredible opportunity to celebrate and elevate our artists!
