Now Hiring: Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a professional multi-skilled maintenance person to join our maintenance team. As a Maintenance Technician you will be working closely with other members of Maintenance Team, and reporting to the Maintenance Manager. You will support them in the completion of wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities, in accordance with site and Company rules, procedures and Safe System of Work. This role requires a strong commitment to high standards of work, and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Salary: Starting from £28,000 p.a (Dependant on experience)

Location: Across all ASC buildings. ASC’s main office is at The Handbag Factory in Vauxhall.

Skills & Requirements

You must possess a full current driving licence, and be able to drive a large wheelbase Transit van. Whilst specific trade qualifications are not required for this role, experience in painting and decorating is essential. An appreciation of building services, and practical experience in all aspects of facilities management, including basic plumbing, roofing, decorating, carpentry and security fixtures is desirable. A proven track of record in similar or customer facing role, within and artistic environment would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a background in the arts, with previous experience working for arts organisations, charities, galleries, or companies that support artists and creative professionals. We would particularly welcome applications from practising artists or individuals with a strong understanding of the creative sector and the challenges and opportunities faced by artists today.

Founded in 1995, the charity aims to support artists and makers, promote the arts, and educate the public in the arts. We support over 750 creative tenants within 11 buildings across 6 London Boroughs and manage a varied and exciting calendar of art exhibitions and events.
