Ben Hodges

Ben grew up in south London and studied Fine Art at West Surrey Institute of Art & Design in the mid nineties. He specialised in sculpture/ mixed media, exploring the connection between the physical body and the soul.

After art college, Ben dedicated his working life to children and adults with special needs in various educational environments. He has also travelled a lot and throughout his thirties decided to live on an olive grove up a mountain in southern Spain. Whilst there he turned to painting as a way of expressing his beliefs and theories about the mystical nature of life and death, human consciousness, and our connection to the universe. Ben now lives in Kingston, and is enjoying the studio space to make a return to creating sculptural pieces of art again.
