Mengxi Zhang
Mengxi Zhang (b. 1989, China) is an artist living and working in London. With experimentation and play at the centre of her practice, Mengxi works with mixed-media paintings and sculptures that explore both the subject of the body and the medium of painting itself. Mengxi moved to the UK from China as a teenager. She has a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (2012) and completed the Turps Studio Programme in 2021. Recently, she finished her residency at Kupfer Project Space (2022) and her work has been featured at Terrace Gallery, Tabula Rasa Gallery (Art Shenzhen), and OHSH Projects (Dreamlands), in London.
