Where did they go?
From December 4 to 15, ASC Stockwell Road will host a group exhibition ‘Where did they go?’ curated by Soyeon Park in the Brixton Beneficiary project space. Featuring five artists – Amy Gillies, Yewon Lee, Joonhong Min, Isabel Rock, and Shinhye You – the exhibition weaves together five distinct narratives, each exploring diverse moments through the lens of personal experience.
The private view will feature an opening performance, including recitals of poems and writings created by the artists.

Behind you
Shadow unfurls
Memories buried beneath
Moments slip away and dissolve
We chase them through the paths of memory,
Hands reaching for fragments that blur as we grasp.
Where did they go, those flashes of presence?
‘Where did they go?’ is a group exhibition that contemplates what wanders around
the spaces we overlook and what remains hidden in plain sight. Featuring five artists,
the show captures the essence of moments left behind, inviting audiences to reflect
on stories that exist beyond immediate perception.
The exhibition uncovers layers of meaning behind personal narratives, societal
shifts, digital landscapes, and so on. Whether exploring gentrification, the weight of
identity, or the blurred lines between reality and imagination, each artist brings a
unique lens to the question: what do we leave behind, and where does it go?
These voices create a tapestry of perspectives, prompting us to reconsider what we
think we know about the unseen and the forgotten.
