Featured Artists Announced for Pearlescent Exhibition
We are delighted to announce the Featured Artists selected for Pearlescent, ASC’s 30th anniversary exhibition. As a registered art charity in London dedicated to supporting artists and makers, promoting the arts and educating the public, Pearlescent embodies the creativity, commitment and sense of community that have defined ASC over the past three decades. Our mission remains steadfast: to create and sustain the essential conditions artists require to realise their work—space, visibility and a nurturing creative environment.
For this landmark exhibition, we received hundreds of submissions from artists across our eleven ASC studios. From these, 125 artists were carefully chosen by guest judges Danny Rolph and Nicky Coutts, whose thoughtful and discerning insight was invaluable to the selection process.
“The quality of submissions was exceptionally high,” the judges remarked.
“It is evident how much depth and diversity exists within the ASC community.”
We recognise the considerable dedication and effort involved in preparing a submission. While we would have wished to include all applicants, practical considerations of space and logistics necessitated difficult decisions. Nevertheless, Pearlescent stands as a rich reflection of the wide-ranging practices flourishing within ASC today—encompassing painting, performance, sculpture, sound, installation and beyond.
