Photography / Printmaker / Cleaver Street
Victoria Ahrens is an artist, educator and researcher who grew up in Argentina and now lives in London. She has a PHD and an MA in photographic print processes and theory from Birkbeck College, University of London, as well as an MA and BA in Fine Art from University of the Arts London. Her work looks to explore our encounter with landscapes of disappearance, places where myth, history and geology converge. She uses photographic and printmaking processes to create large scale installations, projections and print editions of images that are exposed and developed in situ, with inks that are imbued with the earthen pigments of the place themselves.
